Executive Director

As the founder of Elevate Youth Toronto, Liana possesses an intrinsic passion and proven track record of serving marginalized communities. Born and raised in Toronto’s Falstaff and Mount Dennis neighbourhoods, Liana started volunteering at community centers and local businesses at the age of 13. Liana has worked to improve the lives of youth both locally and internationally, where she worked as a business development analyst at a non-governmental organization in Tanzania, serving teenage mothers forced out of the national education system. Liana holds a Honours in Business Administration and Urban Development from Ivey Business School. Currently, she serves as a youth advisor to the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada where she advocates for youth in care across Canada. In her free time, Liana loves to explore new countries, dine at Toronto’s best restaurants and spend quality time with her loved ones.


Liana Langley

Director of Programming and Operations


As the Director of Programming and Operations at Elevate Youth Toronto, Muhammad Mneina is deeply committed to creating impactful programs and advocating for the needs of young people. Originally from Winnipeg and later relocating to Toronto and Vancouver, Muhammad began his journey in community engagement at Boys and Girls Clubs, where he supervised and delivered comprehensive recreational programs for children and youth aged 6 to 18. His commitment to public service continued during his time as a Communications Officer at the Manitoba Legislative Assembly, where he used digital platforms to help bridge the communication gap between legislators and their constituents.

Muhammad holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia. He currently practices as a registered nurse in acute psychiatry, bringing his experience in mental health, advocacy, and community engagement into his clinical work. His diverse background and extensive skill set make him an invaluable asset to community-driven initiatives. Outside of his professional work, Muhammad enjoys exploring new destinations, pursuing creative projects, and continually learning and growing.

Director of Partnerships

Stefphon Nibbs is the Director of Community Real Estate at United Way Greater Toronto, where he leads initiatives and development projects to support social infrastructure across GTA. With a background in urban planning and real estate development, Stefphon has worked on master-planned communities, mixed-use developments, and community benefits agreements across the GTA. He brings experience from both nonprofit and private sectors, with a focus on equitable community development and community building.

Head of Youth Engagement

Anita Owusu-Agyeman is a youth case manager and emerging mental health professional with a strong commitment to supporting young people and families. Currently completing her final semester in the Social Service Worker program at Humber College, she plans to bridge into a bachelor’s degree and accelerated social work pathway, with long-term goals of pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and opening her own private practice as a family and relationship therapist.

With an academic background in criminology, psychology, and youth and child studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, Anita brings both knowledge and frontline experience to her work. She has supported individuals in group home settings and now works closely with youth to help them navigate challenges, build life skills, and move toward their goals. Known for her empathy, honesty, and warm presence, Anita is passionate about creating supportive spaces where young people feel heard, empowered, and encouraged to grow.

Director of Social Media

Daveasha Bailey contributes to digital communications and storytelling efforts that support the organization’s mission and help connect youth with meaningful opportunities. She is currently pursuing a degree in Communications and Media Studies at York University with a minor in Marketing, and has a strong interest in youth empowerment and community engagement.

Daveasha brings hands-on experience in social media strategy and content creation, with a focus on building community and increasing engagement across digital platforms. Her work as a content creator has strengthened her skills in branding, digital storytelling, and trend-aware content development. Through collaborations with nationally recognized brands, she has further developed her ability to create intentional and purpose-driven content.

Outside of her professional and academic responsibilities, Daveasha enjoys exploring different places in the city, attending Pilates classes, and spending time reading.
