Executive Director
As the founder of Elevate Youth Toronto, Liana possesses an intrinsic passion and proven track record of serving marginalized communities. Born and raised in Toronto’s Falstaff and Mount Dennis neighbourhoods, Liana started volunteering at community centers and local businesses at the age of 13. Liana has worked to improve the lives of youth both locally and internationally, where she worked as a business development analyst at a non-governmental organization in Tanzania, serving teenage mothers forced out of the national education system. Liana holds a Honours in Business Administration and Urban Development from Ivey Business School. Currently, she serves as a youth advisor to the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada where she advocates for youth in care across Canada. In her free time, Liana loves to explore new countries, dine at Toronto’s best restaurants and spend quality time with her loved ones.
Liana Langley
Director of Programming & Operations
As the Director of Programming and Operations at Elevate Youth Toronto, Muhammad is deeply committed to creating impactful programs and advocating for the needs of the youth. Originating from Winnipeg and later relocating to Toronto, Muhammad began his journey in community engagement with roles at Boys & Girls Clubs Canada, where he supervised and orchestrated comprehensive recreational programs for children and youth aged 6-18 years. This commitment further flourished during his tenure as a Communications Officer at the Manitoba Legislative Assembly, where he adeptly utilized digital platforms to bridge the communication gap between legislators and their constituents. Holding a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba, Muhammad’s extensive skill set makes him an invaluable asset in any community-driven initiative. When not immersed in professional endeavors, he enjoys exploring new destinations, engaging in creative projects, and continually learning and growing.
Muhammad Mneina

Stefphon Nibbs is the Director of Community Real Estate at United Way Greater Toronto, where he leads initiatives and development projects to support social infrastructure across GTA. With a background in urban planning and real estate development, Stefphon has worked on master-planned communities, mixed-use developments, and community benefits agreements across the GTA. He brings experience from both nonprofit and private sectors, with a focus on equitable community development and community building.

Head of Youth Engagement
Anita Owusu-Agyeman is a youth case manager and emerging mental health professional with a strong commitment to supporting young people and families. Currently completing her final semester in the Social Service Worker program at Humber College, she plans to bridge into a bachelor’s degree and accelerated social work pathway, with long-term goals of pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and opening her own private practice as a family and relationship therapist.
With an academic background in criminology, psychology, and youth and child studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, Anita brings both knowledge and frontline experience to her work. She has supported individuals in group home settings and now works closely with youth to help them navigate challenges, build life skills, and move toward their goals. Known for her empathy, honesty, and warm presence, Anita is passionate about creating supportive spaces where young people feel heard, empowered, and encouraged to grow.
