Become an Elevate Mentor
Share your experience. Support the next generation. Make a lasting impact.
Mentorship can change the way a young person sees themselves, their future, and what is possible.
As an Elevate mentor, you will have the opportunity to support youth as they build confidence, explore their goals, and take meaningful steps toward education, career, leadership, and personal growth.
You do not need to have all the answers. Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can offer is your time, your perspective, and your willingness to walk alongside someone as they grow.

Many young people are full of talent, ambition, and potential, but do not always have access to the guidance, networks, or encouragement they need to move forward.
As a mentor, you can help bridge that gap.
Your story, experience, and insight can help a mentee feel more confident, more prepared, and less alone as they navigate their next steps.
-
Mentorship is not only meaningful for mentees. It is also a powerful experience for mentors.
As an Elevate mentor, you can expect to:
Make a direct impact in a young person’s life
Strengthen your leadership and communication skills
Give back to your community in a meaningful way
Share your career, education, and life experiences
Build relationships with motivated youth and fellow mentors
Support the development of future leaders
Be part of a program rooted in community, growth, and opportunity
-
We are looking for mentors who are committed, supportive, and open to sharing their experiences with youth.
You may be a good fit if you are:
Passionate about supporting young people
Able to listen with empathy and encourage growth
Comfortable sharing your personal, academic, or professional journey
Interested in leadership, mentorship, and community impact
Reliable, respectful, and willing to show up consistently
Excited to help youth build confidence and explore their future
You do not need to be perfect. You just need to be present, supportive, and willing to contribute.
-
As a mentor, you may support mentees through one-on-one conversations, group sessions, career guidance, networking support, resume and interview preparation, leadership discussions, and general encouragement.
Mentorship is about helping youth feel seen, supported, and capable. It is about creating space for honest conversations, thoughtful guidance, and meaningful growth.

Mentoring with Elevate is designed to be meaningful, flexible, and easy to fit into your schedule.
The core commitment is 3 hours of mentorship over 12 weeks. This usually looks like:
3 one-hour mentorship sessions, or
6 thirty-minute mentorship sessions
You and your mentee can decide what works best for your schedules. We simply ask that a total of 3 mentorship hours are completed by the end of the 12-week cohort.
In addition to mentorship sessions, mentors are asked to attend:
A 1-hour online mentor orientation
A 1-hour online mentee-mentor mixer event
Altogether, the full commitment is approximately 5 hours over 12 weeks.
All required sessions and events can be completed online. We also support mentors throughout the process with guidance, resources, and check-ins, so you are not expected to figure it out alone.
Mentors are also welcome to attend our graduation event at the end of the cohort, but this is completely optional.
